I ordered several French Connection dresses of this similiar style after seeing this pattern available, and first off will say that for the full retail price ($99) these dresses are not the quality one should expect. These are super thin cotton, to the point where you wonder why the heck this costs so much. (Take a look at the Amazon video showing the model, you can see right through the grey lower portion of the dress). It's not even a super soft, bamboo knit that feels like high-quality jersey, it's just super plain T-shirt material, which is dissapointing for this price. That said, I did order a couple other patterns which were on sale (under $45 & felt like that was a better price point), but this pattern really caught my eye so I had to absolutely jump on it & see if it would win me over regardless of price.I will say, this color combo/nautical pattern/stripes is totally spot-on in trend right now so it really is adorable in person & very flattering. It is short though, and the grey portion is see-through, along with the entire dress being very body-con/hugging in style, so spanx are called on here! I read reviews to size up, so I did....I normally wear a size 4 & ordered the 8 which fit great in all French Connection dresses).All that said, I did have a bad experience with the dress & am returning. My first order arrived with 2 dark fabric snags through the one of the white stripes across the chest. Albeit it small, it was obvious enough to see if having a conversation w/someone across a table. Plus for the price, I couldn't get past it. I returned & ordered a replacement, however by that point I couldn't get over the shortness of the dress for it to be work-appropriate. The model must be tall, because this falls about 4" above the knee, and for me (5'7") any bending would be NSFW! So while I loved this pattern the most, the length & quality are what I would warn about. If that doesn't bother you, than it may be a winner for you as it is very trendy & flattering. (As an aside, I did order & keep a similiar striped FC dress that was on sale for 1/2 the price and in a darker color to prevent as much see-through, and am very happy with that one as a casual, flirty dress).

Dress was so tiny it looked like a t-shirt. I couldn't even fit it over my head to try it on. Over priced for the quality of the fabric. Warning-don't buy.
