LOVE....order 1 size up IMO. Dress is very long, I am 5 foot 7 and it nearly drags the floor. :) If you are petite you will need to tailor it, but IMO it would be worth it! :o)

28" on the underarm (bust) measurement for the LARGE.

I asked for actual measurements with no response prior to order. I ordered when a review appeared recommending one size up, intending on shortening it. And, I did find American Apparel's general "fit guide" and went from that. I'm 5'3", 115, B. Fabric is good quality, but, notice how loooong the dress and sleeves are (pulled up) on the model and how little bust. She is likely wearing the large. I bought all 3 colors, so, this isn't just a miss-sized one. Fabric is good, though. If it had been too big, I would have taken the time to alter it. American Apparel was good about the issue, but, the entire process took far too much prompting from me. Fabric quality may lure me back, if sizing is better.

I usually don't go for spandex. But this dress was the hit of the party. It wore well, movement was comfortable, color was great. I add a concho belt and it was eleigant. Got lots of complaints.
