pretty. runs very small

I have a desigual dress in size Large in a different style. This dress is very small in comparison. I ordered the L and XL and both were pretty tight and hit well above the knee. I'm only 5'5" with a pretty short torso so the hem should have hit me lower down on the leg then on the model in the photo; the hem was much higher than on the model and totally inappropriate. Fabric is much thinner than in the dress I already own; I suspect that's due to where it was made. Sent these back.
