I was very excited to get this dress for my daughter's vintage garden tea party, but was a little disappointed once I tried it on. It is a pretty dress and design, but I need to return it for the following reasons:Fit: I ordered a size 12 (which was true to my size I'm between a 12-14), but it just did not fall/look correctly on my body type (145 lbs, 5' tall). The top half/collar part was a little loose. Since it was elastic waist and flowly bottom, I thought it was loose enough to be more forgiving and hide body flaws (especially in the stomach area, which it did), but since it's an elastic waist band, the sillouhouette changes shape depending on your body type. So if you're fuller in the waistline area, the dress ends up looking wider. The elastic band/waistline fit is a little short from the top, so the waistline would fall right around my rib area not the waistline (and I have a short torso).Pro: I did like the quarter sleeved arms and it did fall right above the elbow area.MATERIALCons:The material is really thin (no solid lining) just another solid black chiffon material lining which your undergarments would probably show through in the sunlight. Would need to wear a slip and black strapless bra. I was a little disappointed about the lace detail. On the picture it looked like a lace overlay. I didn't realize it was a lace print apart of the dress pattern.Pros: It is really comfortable and light & airy for a summer dress.Overall: The dress looked so much better on the model in the picture. If you're a tall, size 8 or less, or have the body type like the model, the loose fit of the dress would look really cute. But if you're on the full/heavier size, it will end up looking like a mumu/duster dress.
